1. What is the carry-on baggage allowance?

Each passenger may bring one personal item on board with the following maximum dimensions:

  • Width: 30 cm (12 inches)
  • Height: 50 cm (20 inches)
  • Depth: 20 cm (8 inches)
  • Maximum weight: 10 lb (4.5 kg)

2. What happens if my carry-on baggage exceeds the weight limit?

An additional fee will apply for carry-on baggage weighing more than 10 lb (4.5 kg)‚ up to a maximum of 15 lb (6.8 kg). Items weighing more than 15 lb (6.8 kg) must be checked as checked baggage.

3. What are the maximum dimensions for checked baggage?

Checked baggage must not exceed the following maximum dimensions:

  • Height: 76 cm (30 inches)
  • Width: 46 cm (18 inches)
  • Depth: 34 cm (13.5 inches)

The permitted baggage weight is subject to the fare purchased.

4. Is SANSA responsible for valuables in checked baggage?

No. SANSA recommends carrying money‚ jewelry‚ computers‚ cameras‚ medication‚ and other valuable items in your carry-on baggage.

5. What should I do if my baggage is lost or damaged?

You must report the issue immediately to SANSA personnel before leaving the airport in order to initiate the corresponding process.

If the loss occurs at the domestic terminal‚ it must be reported to +506 2437-2610 or by email at objetosperdidos@aeris.cr.

6. Can I travel with food?

Yes. Food for personal consumption is generally permitted‚ provided that it complies with all applicable regulations.
