Special Passengers

1. What happens if I am pregnant?

Passengers who are within sixty (60) days of their estimated due date must present a valid medical certificate expressly confirming that they are fit to travel by air. Handwritten medical certificates are not accepted.

2. Are passengers allowed to travel within 7 days after giving birth?

They may be accepted only if they present an up-to-date medical certificate expressly stating that their physical condition allows them to travel safely. Final acceptance is subject to review and approval by SANSA Airlines.

3. What are the requirements for infants under 2 years old?

Infants under 2 years of age pay only 10% of the applicable adult fare and must travel on an accompanying adult's lap. They are not entitled to their own seat or to a baggage allowance.

4. What are the requirements for children over 2 years old?

Children over 2 years old must have their own seat and pay the applicable regular fare.

5. Can children under 12 years old travel alone?

No. They must travel accompanied by an adult or present a written authorization signed by their parents‚ along with a copy of the identification document of the parent or legal guardian.

6. Can passengers with reduced mobility travel?

Yes. Due to the dimensions and configuration of the aircraft‚ passengers must be able to board and disembark independently or travel with an accompanying person who has purchased a ticket and is able to assist them during boarding and disembarkation.
