1. Are pets allowed on SANSA flights?

Yes. SANSA allows dogs and cats to travel on domestic flights for an additional fee.

 

2. Are guide dogs and emotional support animals allowed?

Yes. They may travel at no additional cost‚ provided that all required documentation is presented.

3. Are pets considered a personal item?

No. The pet and its carrier are not considered part of the permitted carry-on baggage or personal item allowance.

4. What is the maximum weight allowed for pets?

The maximum combined weight of the pet and its carrier is 40 kg‚ subject to available space.

5. What documents are required for pets?

A valid vaccination record is required‚ and the pet must be in good health.

 

6. Can I travel with an emotional support animal?

Yes. SANSA accepts only dogs and cats as emotional support animals. They must comply with the Company's Emotional Support Animal Transportation Policy‚ including:

  • Payment of the applicable fee per flight segment.
  • Compliance with all applicable documentation requirements.
  • Transportation in an appropriate carrier or kennel.
  • The maximum permitted weight for the animal is 40 kg.
