1. Can I travel with sports equipment?

Yes. Sports equipment may be transported for an additional fee and is subject to available space.

2. What types of sports equipment are accepted?

SANSA accepts the following sports equipment:

  • Fishing equipment
  • Golf equipment
  • Diving equipment (excluding tanks)
  • Harpoons
  • Bicycles
  • Surfboards

3. What is the procedure for traveling with a surfboard?

The applicable fee is charged per individual surfboard‚ not per bag or case.

The surfboard must comply with the maximum permitted length of 6.7 feet (2.04 meters).

A maximum of eight (8) surfboards may be transported per flight.

Surfboards are not included in the baggage allowance included with the fare. Fins must be removed before transportation.

Surfboards may only be transported as checked baggage.

4. What happens if I do not use an additional service I have reserved?

If a passenger voluntarily decides not to use an additional service after purchasing it‚ a penalty equivalent to 100% of the amount paid for the service will apply. No refund‚ credit‚ or transfer will be granted.

5. Are bicycles allowed?

Yes. Bicycles must be properly packed and are subject to available space.

6. The following items are not accepted for transportation:

  • Windsurfing boards
  • Kayaks
  • Diving tanks
  • Explosives
  • Flammable materials
  • Weapons
  • Any other dangerous goods
